One of a kind, hand stitched quilt - Aloka vintage kanthas are made from layers of saris that were hand-stitched some 60-80 years ago in India. Dating back centuries, Indian women stitched together old saris to create large blankets and floor cloths.

We carefully select each for their material integrity and design and embrace the beauty and uniqueness in the material's patina that was created over time.

 Quilts are shampooed multiple times then softened so it’s easy to snuggle with, never crunchy, and yet durable enough to use for upholstery.
