Incredible deep grey colored long, wavy haired Gotland sheep pelt.

Originating from Gotland - the largest island off the coast of Sweden, Gotland sheepskins are a beautiful Scandinavian accessory renowned for their curly fur and rare gray tones. They're are great used on your bed, draped over a bench, couch throw, or lay on the floor as a rug.

SUSTAINABILITY || Van Buren hides are uniquely made in an eco-friendly and responsible manner. Byproducts of the meat industry, the sheep are raised for the sole purpose of food rather than hide harvesting. The hides are free of most harmful dyes, bleaches and chemicals typically used in the tanning process. Because of these natural practices, each hide is unique in its coloring, size, and wool structure.

CARE || Comb and shake out sheepskin to revive and detangle. Spot clean fur with warm water and a mild soap. Do not machine wash or submerge. Do not expose underside skin to water. Dry clean only.

|| ABOUT VAN BUREN ||

In 1861, Sjoerd van Buren started a business for trading of skins/furs in a small village called Oosterlittens, Netherlands. The business was transferred from father to son in 1903 and moved to Bolsward, where it is still established till this date. In 1969 we started tanning and focused on producing high quality sheep fur, wool and leather.
