DEODORANT CREAM

Got that “wha, wha” feeling every time you buy natural deodorants? We all want to switch our chemical laden products but don’t necessarily want to be stinker for it!

This Deodorant is for the full spectrum of stinky. The coconut oil and aluminum FREE baking soda base are a bacteria checking dynamic duo. Mixed with the moisture absorbing properties of arrowroot and the antimicrobial properties of the essential oils, you and your pits will never be happier! The scent starts with a lovely harmony of black pepper, bergamot and a hint of citrus with a base of clary sage. The scent is light enough that it won’t compete with another fragrance. A word to all my black clothes loving people: this deodorant won’t leave those chalky white streaks that make you look like you’ve had a mime in a headlock.

Put a little on the tips of your fingers and apply, a little goes a long way.

Ingredients:
coconut oil*, baking soda (aluminum free), arrowroot starch*, beeswax, essential oils of black pepper*, clary sage*, bergamot*, tea tree*, grapefruit* / *organic

SENSITIVE PIT CREAM

Ever heard…”You’re soooo sensitive”? Did you take it as a putdown? I feel you. But let me tell you, sensitivity = feeling= being in touch with your heart= listening to your heart= getting to know your true self= being your true self= embracing being the snowflake you are= being a snowflake.

You know what? Snowflakes need deodorant.
Snowflake, it’s hot out there. Sometimes you get real sweaty and stinky, it’s normal.
Fat and the Moon is full of snowflakes, and we are your comrades in sweaty snowflake-dom!

There are some of us who can appreciate baking soda at a distance, but man once it hits the pits- the skin is like heck no. Some need less essential oils on their arm nooks cause the plants just tickle these folks’ right into a rash. Some snowflakes just love to get a whiff of the grassy-grassy-ness of vetiver and green pop of basil. That’s the thing about snowflakes, they are all different.
Ok, you know the drill- use a pea size amount for both your armpits. Send a little ‘hello’ to each one, as you rub in the Cream, sup guys!

Ingredients:
coconut oil*, arrowroot starch*, magnesium hydroxide (aka milk of magnesia), beeswax, essential oils of basil* & vetiver*
*organic

ABOUT FAT & THE MOON

Continuing a family legacy of herbalists and natural healers, Fat and the Moon founder Rachel Budde has built her company around providing handcrafted, herbal body care products to those seeking a natural alternative to chemical-filled products. Like a witch over a cauldron, Budde experiments with age-old ingredients and recipes passed down from various healing traditions to craft innovative and simple products that are good for the body and the earth. Fat and the Moon started as an alternative to the toxic, mass production body care industry aiming to provide nourishing ingredients and nourishing messages of self love, and self care.

And if you were wondering why 'Fat and the Moon'....

Fat as the first word in the name of my business has gotten me in some interesting discussions. People ask me about the name all the time because they can hardly believe I would use a word that has such negative connotations, especially when it is used within ‘beauty care’.

In part, I use the word ‘fat’ to be provocative; I don’t believe fat is a dirty word. But most of the fat in Fat and the Moon comes from my love of the material- oil is the medium of external herbal medicine. Fat in the form of oil, is the gift of the seed. Fat, both in plants and animals, is where energy is stored. The richness we taste in food, and the suppleness we feel on our skin after a good slather of bath oil, is our bodies recognition of and pleasure in that vital energy. Oil from plants, in and of itself, is medicinal. I feel honored as a medicine maker to indulge in the play of fat and herbs, especially under the influence of the moon.
