HOLY SPONGE || SEA SPONGE
If you care about the “how” and the process behind what you purchase, especially when it comes to natural products, this is the sponge you want. These Micronesian Wool Sponges start with sustainably harvested tops of wild sponges, and then they are hand-grown to larger sizes in hanging sponges gardens in the sea. Sponge farmers are paid a living wage to cultivate these beautiful bath and body sponges. These sponges are creating sustainable income for the local community they are grown in.
These are not treated with any harsh cleaning agents and may contain small pieces of ocean within them. Sea sponges contain naturally occurring minerals like iodine, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, zinc, and potassium.

To care for your sponge: Every so often, soak your sponge in warm water and a tbs of baking soda. Rinse and allow to dry/live in an open and clean environment.
One area where she had trouble reducing landfill trash was her menstrual cycle (not a fan of the cup), so she started using sea sponges on her period, which are reusable, compostable, and wayyy cleaner than commercial tampons. They are naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial. She loved using sponges for her cycle so much that she started selling Moon Ritual Kits.
