SANDAL MAKING WORKSHOP WITH STACE FULWILER

Regular price $250

In this one day workshop, you will make your very own pair of handmade leather sandals! No experience is necessary, Stace will help you through the entire process. We will be using rubber/foam soles (about 3/8" thickness) and leather uppers. All the the tools and supplies are included to make a pair of sandals for yourself in one day, as well as many different leather colors to choose from. You will have the choice of making a toe ring sandal, a sandal that buckles at the ankle, or a two / three-strap slide sandal. Many modifications are possible within these 'beginners' designs! The strap width, colors, and strap placement is all up to you. View photos of past workshops and student work here.
Over the course of the day, you will learn how to make sandals that fit your specific feet.  In the process of making your sandals, you will also learn basic leather-working techniques and become familiar with shoe-making tools. You will be able to walk away wearing your newly-made sandals that you can enjoy for years to come!  Bring a friend or family member to spend a day making something both beautiful and utilitarian.

|| ABOUT STACE ||
Stace started making sandals 5 years ago and quickly became addicted to making her own shoes.  She started teaching workshops on the request of a group of friends, and realized that sandal-making is a teachable craft that most anyone can learn and complete in one day.  She never tires of celebrating the joy of her student's success and helping students find creative solutions to the inevitable obstacles that come up when making one's first pair of sandals.  In addition to being a lifelong student of the craft of sandalmaking, she also studies nutrition and hopes to attend graduate school in the next year.
